Riptides Raw Bar and Grill offers excellent service with attentive, polite staff. My server was intuitive and responsive, making for a thoroughly enjoyable lunch experience. The management on duty was professional, courteous, and clearly committed to guest satisfaction; I personally observed the manager handle challenging situations with other patrons calmly and effectively, leaving everyone satisfied. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and served hot. I look forward to returning in the future.
That said, I do have one concern. I was disappointed by the newly added service fee on my bill. I have always been generous with gratuities for Riptides’ serving staff, and I find it somewhat off-putting, or at least not in good taste, to be charged an additional fee simply for choosing to dine at this establishment.

Thought from the location and description this would be a Waterfront Restaurant, its not. Outdoor dining gets you a nice view of the busy street. 4 beers 1 appetizer and two entrees came to $150 before tip. A little pricey to me.

Always great food and great service. Joe took good care of us tonight! The Big Wave and the Mayport Garlic Shrimp 😋
Yes, the food is not fast food priced, but what do you expect at the beach for fresh seafood, big meals and good food all around? We go whenever we are in town!

We came here a little after noon on Sunday. Buffalo Bills are the team that gets the big screen with 7 or so smaller screens surrounding the bar. Steelers/Vikings were already on the big screen since they were playing in Dublin on this Sunday. Anyway, it wasn't very crowded since the NFL kickoffs didn't really start until 1 pm. So we started with a half dozen oysters that were a good size (there were actually7!) but things went downhill from there . We also ordered a cup of the Surf and Turf soup. The soup came out lukewarm at best. We asked the runner that brought the soup out if he could take it back and heat it up. He did and returned saying the new cup was from a "fresh batch". The 2nd cup was piping hot however there was one piece of "Turf" and a miniscule amount of "Surf." Next up were the main courses. We had the Steak Tip Salad (the server didn't ask how we wanted the steak tips cooked but they came out medium) and the Cedar Plank Salmon (the server did ask how we wanted the salmon cooked) and it came out the requested medium). The vegetables served with the salmon unfortunately tasted like they were sitting a while and we're less than lukewarm while the fully loaded potato was still lukewarm at best. Anyway, the runner brought all the food and the server took our orders and brought the check but never asked how ANYTHING was or if we wanted desserts. The place was slowly filling up as we left after the 1 pm kickoffs so business is good. We had this place on our list to try due to the good reviews and the crowds we see when we drive by on weekends. Unfortunately it's a one and done for us. It could have been an off day for the food and server but obviously there's plenty of other options available

Service was very nice and courteous. Drinks were very good. The food came swiftly, conch fritters were tasty, calamari pretty good, but the fish tacos were just okay, French fries not my type. The place is rustic, tables are thick painted wood.
