My wife and I have dined here many times, the Greek cuisine is of the highest quality and the staff are friendly and attentive. We easily give the Greektown Taverna our highest accolades!

Second time visiting and even better than before in all aspects- Food and Service! This time I brought my husband and he said it is now his favorite place because of the lollipop lamb chops- we both agree the best we have ever had and worth the cost of trying them. Our server was friendly, informative, attentive and brought replacement drinks without us asking and offered one To Go when we finished our meal, too.10/10 Both times I have eaten there the servers made you feel they wanted and appreciated you dining in their restaurant and that has a Huge impact on any dining experience. Combine that with well prepared and very tasty menu items and it doesn't get better than that.Lots of variety and options on the menu. The bisteki was so good! Similar to Lebanese kafta but in patty shape. Hubby said falafel were very good- perfect crunch and inside was very flavorful. 💯 this is a GOTO place for lunch or dinner and I highly recommend. Sadly, I forgot to take pics again- too excited and into the food! LoL. I plan to update with pics next time.
We had lunch with friends. Our server, Nico, was very attentive. He offered water for the table as we settled in. We ordered hummus for an appetizer to share. My husband mused, “If we could get hummus that good in the store, I’d eat it more often.” Our party ordered platters and gyros. The food is fresh and abundant. Two hours later, we finished off with baklava and rice pudding. The dining room is cafe-like: light and open with plenty of space. This is a great location to share a fresh meal with cherished friends.
This place is one of a kind. Wonderful service and food. Place is a little old and could use a face-lift but seemed clean. We had a cup of avgolemono, lemon chicken soup. The gyro lamb platter with garlic feta potatoes. All delicious. The best thing made in house was the pumpkin cheesecake with baklava crust. Oh my!
We had a fantastic lunch here today. It’s one of our favorite spots when we’re in the area. Gavin, our server, made our experience even better with his friendly and attentive nature. And of course, the food was delicious as always. The lamb lollipops are a must-try whenever we come. They’re so good that I couldn’t resist eating them all before I remembered to take a picture. Oh, and they have an amazing selection of imported Greek beer and wines, even offering a flight of Greek wines. Definitely a place I recommend to anyone.
Came for a birthday dinner! We go here a lot. The food is delicious and most important it's authentic. The whole meal was wonderful and our server was very sweet and did the best job waiting on us! She was so friendly 😄
